S1 Lifer Helmet is rated for both Multiple Impacts and High Impacts

THE S1 LIFER HELMET = Good for your brain
Over the last few years we have made a concerted effort to educate the Roller Derby community about helmet safety and the importance of wearing the S1 Lifer Helmet instead of a soft foam skate helmet. The S1 Lifer Helmet (shown above) is easily one of the safest helmets for Roller Derby. The Lifer Helmet is constructed with specially formulated EPS Fusion Foam (EFF®) and it is rated for multiple impacts and high impacts. The EFF foam is soft enough to protect your brain from multiple low impacts and it is dense enough to help protect against a life threatening high impact.
THE SOFT FOAM SKATE HELMET = Bad for your brain
Far too many Roller Derby participants are getting severe concussions while wearing soft foam skate helmets. If you are wearing a soft foam non-certified helmet because you thought it was multiple impact you are sadly mistaken. You have been hoodwinked by marketing. The soft foam non-certified helmet is not multiple impact and should be renamed the minimal impact helmet.  A soft foam non-certified helmet is NOT multiple impact because it does not pass the Multiple Impact test. It FAILS the multiple impact test. It is crazy how many online merchants are are describing them as multiple impact. When you fall in a soft foam helmet the impact energy goes right through the soft foam and rattles your brain.

If you want to watch the S1 Lifer Helmet outperform a soft foam skate helmet watch this video.
