Are you wearing the safest helmet for Roller Derby?

Are you wearing the correct helmet for Roller Derby? from s-one helmet co / s1helmets on Vimeo.

In summary. Soft foam non-certified helmets do not pass the ASTM or CPSC impact tests and they do not provide adaquate head protection. For the last few years, S-One has been highly recommending that all Roller Derby participants wear a Certified Helmet like the S-One Lifer Helmet. The Lifer Helmet will protect your head from multiple low impacts and single high impacts.

"We want to see girls wearing the safest helmet possible. You can't control how you fall in Roller Derby... it is a contact sport and you are going to get hit and you are going to go down. And this happens all the time - all around the world. And if you are in the wrong helmet (ie: a non-certified helmet) your really going to hurt yourself." - Dan McCashin / Co- Founder S-One Helmets
Check out these helmet facts. If you are a wearing a soft foam helmet with the super comfy sweat liner you should know that this helmet does not even come close to passing the ASTM Multiple Impact Test (4ft drop) or the CPSC High Impact Test (7 ft drop).
